Cimarron Women's Clinic is proud to provide complete comprehensive women’s health care - primary care for women from ages 13 up. Our services include:

  • Urodynamic Testing, is a new service offered at Cimarron Women's Clinic.The evaluation and management of pelvic floor disorders, and female urinary incontinence are strong interests for our doctors. We now have the ability to perform urodynamic testing in our offices.
  • History/physical examinations for both wellness and illness, health promotion, immunizations, school and sports physical examinations.
  • Contraceptive counseling for adolescent girls through menopause.
  • Menopausal health care including alternatives to standard hormone replacement therapy.

    This area of medicine involves the health promotion for women from 40 and beyond. It includes management of the perimenopausal, both the physical and emotional changes that occur. Cancer prevention, it’s early detection, nutrition, and bone, breast, and cardiac health are emphasized.
     
    Education is an important part of and the responsibility of both physician and patient at this stage of life.

  • Osteoporosis detection and management including bone density measurement with appropriate site measurement, use of chemical markers of bone turnover, and nutritional and medical therapies to promote and maintain bone health.
  • Reproductive services including contraception, prenatal care, delivery and postnatal care.
     
    Referrals for prenatal testing, genetic counseling, and advanced perinatal care are made on a case by case basis for each patient.
     
    Deliveries are performed at the new Stillwater Medical Center Maternal Child Health Unit in large labor/ delivery/ postpartum suites.
     
    Mothers are encouraged to access the resources of Carrie Meyer LPN, and Certified Breastfeeding Educator. Carrie is a wonderful help to any new mom who plans to nurse her infant. We also encourage moms to develop a delivery plan in conjunction with the doctor and hospital to suit their personal, family, and health needs.
     
    The clinic is not an abortion provider, but does counsel and assist women in all of their reproductive choices.

  • Management of abnormal pap smears
     
    We are a regional source for management of abnormal pap smears, and take referrals from primary care providers.
     
    Evaluation and management of abnormal pap smears is usually done in the office. Counseling regarding procedures is always done in advance to alleviate any anxiety or distress related to an abnormal pap.

  • Mood disorders/ counseling provided by Kay Howard, LPC.
     
    Kay is a valuable addition to the health care team and trained to assist women in their emotional health.
     
    Since the connection between mind and body is essential to wellbeing, referrals are made to better prepare patients to cope with their lives, deal with current problems, and avoid repeated difficulties.

  • Premenstrual syndrome/ premenstrual dysphoric disorder
     
    This is a treatable problem, and our doctors have vast experience and success with this disorder.

  • Ultrasound: gynecologic/ breast/ obstetric
     
    We have a registered ultrasound technician in our office suite for the convenience of our patients. She performs diagnostic ultrasound of the breast, abdomen and pelvis, and for pregnancy.

  • Bone density measurement
     
    We offer peripheral bone densitometry. This uses ultrasound to measure the speed of sound through the heel (calcaneous) bone. This then is used to calculate the bone density of the heel, a weight bearing bone. This measurement is used as a screening tool for bone density disorders of Osteopenia and osteoporosis.

  • Partnership with OSU in clinical research
     
    We collaborate with the Oklahoma State University Dept of Nutritional Science in menopause studies using nutritional methods to treat the menopause.
     
    Women who wish to adopt alternative forms of menopause management are encouraged to enroll in these studies.
     
    Cimarron Women’s Clinic performs the medical monitoring of study subjects.
